It all begins with an idea

Uju, a busy mom from Portland, Oregon, had a brilliant idea for Ozznek Shoes after a dream in 2011 at 4:00 am. Imagine shoes with removable soles – that’s what she dreamed about, and she quickly wrote it down.

As time went by, Uju increasingly grew frustrated by how quickly her kids grew out of their expensive shoes. How could she get great style for less money?

Her smart solution was to have the soles do “double duty” and simply make them detachable, transforming them to indoor slippers and also easy to clean. She also decided it would be best to provide two pairs of shoes and sell them for the price of one average pair. This saves her customers money while adding more style options per dollar spent.

Now, her kids come inside the house, she takes off the soles for a quick wipe off, and her little ones keep the shoe tops on their feet that have suddenly transformed into comfy indoor slippers.
